Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund

Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund

Alexis I. du Pont High School hosted an event celebrating seven years of conservation work funded by the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund. Since its launch in 2018, the program has awarded over $72 million to more than 200 projects to restore habitats, improve water quality, and conserve natural spaces. This year, a record $17 million was awarded to 45 initiatives across Delaware, including pollinator gardens and habitat restoration projects at Red Clay Consolidated School District.

Thank you to Senator Tom Carper, Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, and our community partners for attending and sharing their insights. Let’s also thank Alexis I. du Pont High School for hosting and all the schools for presenting during the expo portion of the program.
